Couple caught on camera sliding items out of Walmart

A man and woman are now wanted after allegedly stealing several thousand dollars worth of items from Walmart stores in Richmond, Nicholasville, Lexington, and as of Monday morning, Winchester.

Police are trying to identify the two suspects that have been caught on tape at each store.

Monday, January 9th, at roughly five in the morning, the pair are seen walking through many isles in the electronics department of the store. After loading up a shopping cart one of the suspects walks into the Outdoor Living area, and after a quick scan of the area, begins sliding items under the fence. Moments later the two suspects pull up in a Chevrolet truck and load up an estimated $4-thousand worht of merchandise and drive off.

Detectives with Winchester police say they've already connected the two through photographs to several other Walmart thefts. They say it appears the two targeted the Nicholasville store on January 7th. There the couple is said to have smuggled out several thousand dollars of electronics.

The same pair was also spotted on New Year's Eve at the Richmond Walmart, but are said to have only taken a magnetic key. Later, that same night, they were spotted taking rifle scopes from two Lexington locations.

Unlike the recent theft at Winchester, police say the two have been seen in a lighter colored SUV. Still, investigators say the duo have stolen roughly $9-thousand worth of merchandise from all five stores, in less than two weeks and they want to put a stop to their heists.

If you have any information that may help identify these suspects, you are asked to call the Winchester Police Department at 859-745-7400.
