27 NEWSFIRST has learned that the prosecution rested it's case in the Donald Southworth murder trial. The trial began earlier this month in Lexington.
Police say Donald Southworth beat his wife, Umi, to death in June of 2010.
The defense began calling witnesses around 6:30 Thursday night.
The judge has said she wants to have a verdict in the case no later than Friday night.
