LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police are investigating an overnight shooting.
Officers were dispatched to Roosevelt Boulevard around 10pm Sunday night for a report of shots fired.
Shortly after they were called to the scene, they were dispatched to Samaritan hospital, where a gunshot victim had just been brought into the emergency room by a family member.
The man told investigators he was visiting his girlfriend when an unknown person shot him in the face on nearby Florence Avenue.
Police tell us the man has non-life threatening injuries.
We asked folks living along Roosevelt Boulevard if they had heard the shots from Sunday night. No one wanted to talk on camera, but they said they had. One woman even told us she and another family member laid on the floor to avoid being hit by a stray bullet.
So far no arrests have been made, and there is no suspect description.
