A judge sentenced a Lexington father to 10 years in prison for the death of his son.
Brandon Fraley pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter, in November. Lexington Police say Fraley tried to stop his two-year-old son, Derek, from crying by placing a hand over the boy's mouth.
The sentence handed down by Judge Ernesto Scorscone on Thursday is part of a plea deal.
