Fayette schools adopt new discrimination policy

The Fayette County Board of Education approved a new policy Monday night that protects students, teachers, and staff from discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity.

The Kentucky Fairness Alliance says it worked with Fayette County Public Schools on drafting the new policy.

Fayette County Schools already prohibited discrimination based on race, creed, color, or religion.
