A public hearing to discuss the future of a Lexington community center lasted several hours.
City planning officials are considering revoking the permit for the Community Inn, located on Winchester Road. Some with the city say the permit was issued for a church, not a homeless shelter.
In a past interview, Ginny Ramsey, co-director of the center, told WKYT the Community Inn serves the homeless and provides a place to worship.
Today's hearing started at 1:30 at city hall and lasted well into the afternoon.
