Letʼs make it a double scoop! Brotherʼs Jim and Jay Tedesco have opened their second Graeterʼs location in
the Hamburg area of Lexington [1925 Justice Drive]. The famous French Pot ice cream is continuing to grow
and will now be available to more residents of Lexington. The Tedesco brothers started their franchise in 1998
out of Louisville, KY and grew the business to seven stores throughout Louisville and Southern Indiana. Last
year, they opened their first location in the Chevy Chase neighborhood of Lexington, after previous Graeterʼs
had closed in 2010. “When Graeterʼs closed in 2010, we wanted to do what we could to get it back again, and
with the success of our Chevy Chase location, we are going to continue to make it grow here in Lexington”
says Jim Tedesco.
The irresistible, and Kentucky Proud ice cream will continue to be produced in Louisville, where it currently
serves the Louisville franchise. “Our goal is to provide the freshest and highest quality ice cream you can get!
We do that by following the recipes set forth by the Graeter family in Cincinnati, OH,” says Jay Tedesco, who
oversees the production of the ice cream.
