A grand jury will now decide if there's enough evidence to send the case against a former UK basketball player to trial.
Michael Porter appeared in a Fayette County courtroom on Monday morning. A judge quickly waived his case to a grand jury.
Police arrested Porter in May on six counts of third degree sodomy and two counts of first degree sexual abuse, involving a girl he met at church.
Court papers show Lexington Police set up a sting, after the teenage victim told police about the alleged contact with Porter back in 2009 and 2010. She told police she met Porter at a church function, and that they communicated online and on the phone.
Porter last played at UK in 2009.
