A Halloween party on Thursday night provided treats, fun and a special message.
The U.S. Attorney's Office, along with Lexington Police and Lexington Firefighters, threw the party at Douglas Park in the East End neighborhood.
The area has seen many shootings in recent weeks.
The event served as a way to bring the community together. Along with the treats, party organizers passed out brochures to families with tips on gang and violence crime prevention.
