Just days before a man is scheduled to stand trial for his wife's murder, attorneys in the case went before a judge.
Donald Southworth, is charged with murder, in the 2010 death of Umi Southworth. On Friday, attorneys discussed evidence collected following her death.
Donald Southworth's defense attorneys wanted the judge to block evidence collected from the home. Three police detectives were called to the stand to testify about the process officers used to collect the evidence.
After hearing the testimony, a judge denied the defense motion and will allow the evidence to be used in the trial.
Jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday in the case.
