The annual "Faith and Community Christmas Store" opened in Lexington on Wednesday morning. The store allows parents to shop for free toys for their children.
More than 600 people waited in a line that stretched out the door and around the block on Midland Avenue. Organizers expect thousands more people to come to the store.
Because of the large demand, the Faith and Community Christmas Store needs more donations. The group says they have plenty of clothes, but are in need of bikes and toys.
You can drop off donations at the store on Midland Avenue at Second Street.
For more information on donating or volunteering you can go to godsnet.info.
The store will be open until 8 tonight, and from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
