A judge has denied a change of venue request from Lexington man accused of killing his wife.
The decision means Donald Southworth's trial will begin Monday in Lexington.
Police charged Southworth with murder for the death of his wife, Umi, in 2010.
Investigators say Donald Southworth beat Umi Southworth with a piece of wood and left her outside their Lexington home.
When police first found her, they mistakenly thought she was dead. She received medical treatment hours later, but died the next day.
