LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The U.S. Supreme Court's newest member will make an appearance at the University of Kentucky later this week.
UK said Wednesday that Justice Elena Kagan will speak at the Lexington campus Thursday evening as part of a lecture series.
The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. EDT at the Singletary Center Recital Hall.
Kagan, at age 53, is the youngest member of the nation's high court. She was appointed in 2010 by President Barack Obama. She previously served as solicitor general of the United States and dean of Harvard Law School, among other accomplishments.
Justice Clarence Thomas spoke at UK last year.
The event is now full and closed to the public. Tickets are no longer available.
