EXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A Lexington woman has been indicted on charges of threatening former President George W. Bush and Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell.
Federal prosecutors said Thursday that 49-year-old Susan Mary Collins was indicted on one count of mailing a threatening communication and one count of making a threat against a former president.
The Indictment alleges that last Sept. 2, Collins mailed one letter addressed to McConnell and another to Bush threatening to injure them.
The U.S. Attorney's office said in a news release that if convicted, Collins faces a maximum prison sentence of 15 years.
There was no answer Thursday night at a Lexington phone number listed for Susan Collins.
