Kohl's has donated more than a hundred thousand dollars to Kentucky Children's Hospital Asthma Program.
The department store gave the check to the hospital during the "Asthma All-Stars" event this evening. The money will be used to promote awareness about pediatric asthma, which UK officials say is an important issue in the Bluegrass. "Asthma is the number one reason children are admitted to the emergency departments," explains UK hospital representative Loralyn Cecil, "so even though it might not necessarily be critical in children it is an important issue."
In their twelve year partnership, Kohl's has donated almost a million dollars to the Kentucky Children's Hospital.
