LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington man on a mission to honor the memory of his late brother is on his way home after a whirlwind tour of all 50 states.
Seth Collins' mission began in July 2012 after his brother, Aaron, died at the age of 30. Years earlier, Aaron outlined what he wanted in case he died. One of his wishes was that his family go out to eat and leave a big tip.
The video of Seth's first tip at Puccini's in Chevy Chase went viral. It grew into "Aaron's Last Wish." People began donating more money to his family so they could go around giving our more 500 dollar tips.
The last tip went to a waitress in Florida.
"It's just proof that there's good people out there in the world," say said. "It's amazing. I can't really believe it."
Seth plans to take a break from his generous tip giving, but eventually he says he'll get back to it.
Seth told us sponsors paid for travel expenses. He also raised money through an internet campaign.
