LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police say they've tracked down the man responsible for kidnapping another man in Lexington.
Police say the victim told them he was held at gunpoint and forced to speed away from police who were trying to help him.
Police say the incident stemmed from a transaction the suspect and victim were involved with last night. At one point, they say they made contact with the victim who said he was ok, but they say it turned out he was being held against his will.
Police say they first got a call Monday night from a family member saying someone was being held against their will. When police found him at home, they say he told them everything was fine. But a half an hour later, they say they got another call from the family member saying he was being held at gunpoint while driving a van.
Police stopped the van at Third and Ohio Streets. They say the victim who was driving, stayed in the van while the suspect ran away. Police arrested Keon Blackburn about a block away. They say he was the man holding the victim at gunpoint.
Police say the victim was unharmed. Blackburn is charged with kidnapping and set to be arraigned on Tuesday.
