LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lane Allen Road in Lexington is back open after a serious crash.
Lexington Police called a reconstruction team to the scene , near Camperdown Court, to investigate the wreck involving two cars.
Police say Refuguio Diaz-Lopez was heading westbound on Lane Allen, traveling at a high rate of speed, when he lost control of his Jetta Volkswagon. At that point, police say his car went into the oncoming lane of traffic and hit a Toyota Corolla head on.
Both Diaz-Lopez and the driver of the Camry, Stephen Dorsett, were rushed to the hospital.
Lexington Police charged Diaz-Lopez with DUI, Assault 2nd degree, No Operator's License and No Insurance.
