LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - There has been another reported robbery near the University of Kentucky campus.
It is the third such report in four days on or near campus.
The latest happened on Lexington Avenue, near High Street, around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Lexington Police say the victim was sitting inside his parked car when the robber came up, opened the car door and put something against the victim's head.
The victim honked the horn, scaring away the robber.
Police later arrested Ali Abdeljaber, 18, near Main Street, charging him with robbery.
UK officials had already issued a crime bulletin after a
female student said a man robbed her just before 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim said the robber came up and stole a cell phone from her hand as she was walking on Complex Drive near the Johnson Center.
The robber didn't show a weapon or imply he had one, according to UK officials.
The victim was not injured.
Late Sunday, a man told police he was robbed while walking from newtown crossing apartments.
Police haven't made an arrest in those two cases.
