LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A man told Lexington Police he walking when someone started shooting at him.
The shooting happened around 3:30 Monday morning, near Ross Alley and West 4th Street.
Police received several calls from people saying they had heard gunshots. When they responded, officers found the shooting victim near Broadway and Third Street.
He told police he was walking down Ross Alley, when someone opened fire on him. He told police the shooting was unprovoked. Neighbors who heard the gunfire also told investigators they didn't hear any kind of fighting, or any other disturbance, leading up to the shots.
Police say the victim was shot at least once in the upper back. He was taken to UK Hospital and is expected to be okay.
The victim was not able to give police a description of the shooter or shooters.
