Man stabbed and hit by car outside Lexington apartment

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Police are investigating a stabbing and hit and run outside an apartment. Officials say two men got into an argument inside the home, then the fight escalated and spilled into the front lawn. Police say one man stabbed and ran over the other.

The crimes happened at 2885 Winter Garden Road in Lexington. Three people were at the home, a woman and two men. The incident happened around 7 p.m.

The sequence of events is unknown. Police are saying the victim was stabbed three times in his torso and hit by a car severely injuring both of his legs.

The suspect left the scene. He's described as a heavyset black male, in his 20s. He was driving a maroon Jeep Liberty.

The woman was the only one that lived in the apartment. Police say all three people knew each other, but their exact relationship hasn't been released. The woman wasn't harmed.

The victim was taken to a local hospital. As of Sunday night, his injuries aren't considered life threatening.
