Murder victim's mother to rally for tougher domestic violence law

Those who lost loved ones to domestic violence will be in Frankfort Wednesday to try to strengthen laws.

Diana Ross, the mother of Amanda Ross, is expected to show her support for House Bill 498, which would allow dating partners to get emergency protective orders.

Amanda Ross was killed by former state lawmaker Steve Nunn, who was her ex-fiance.

Last year, Diana Ross campaigned for Amanda's Law, which allows judges to make those who violate domestic violence orders wear a GPS tracking device.

Amanda Ross' murder will be the subject of a national news magazine airing Wednesday night.
