Strong winds and rain made for a dangerous commute.
Before morning rush hour began, there were several accidents reported in rural Fayette County, including on Old Richmond Road and Delong Road.
In Jessamine County, a tree fell on Groggins Ferry Road, near Sussex Estates, before 5 a.m.
Police quickly provided traffic control in the area, since the tree fell in a blind curve.
A couple of trees were also reported down in Garrard County.
