LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An Ohio man has been arrested on murder charges in Kentucky.
Police arrested Albert Fine, 30, in the Lowe's parking lot off Nicholasville Road in Lexington around 7:30 Thursday night.
He is accused of killing his girlfriend, Catherine Hoholski.
Lorain, Ohio police tell us it is unclear why Fine was in Lexington.
Hoholski's body was found in their apartment in Ohio Wednesday afternoon.
Police say she had been dead for weeks.
Those close to Hoholski say they were hoping a happier ending would have come of her missing persons case.
"There's a lot of raw emotion. People are just devastated. They're sad. There's a lot of anger, grief, and pain," said Rev. Lisa Morrison, with Cornerstone UMC.
Fine was in a Lexington courtroom Friday afternoon, where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of being a fugitive and said he would not fight extradition back to Ohio.
Merry Rivera was found with Fine and questioned by police but was not arrested and quickly released.
