LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A flight attendant had her first appearance in a Fayette County courtroom on Wednesday after being charged with being under the influence while serving as a crew member on a flight. She is also charged with having a prescription not in an original container.

According to court documents, Delta Air Lines called for medical assistance for a report of a sick person at Blue Grass Airport. The first officer on the scene says he met Nancy Bray and suspected that she was under the influence.

At the request of a Delta manager, the officer performed a breathalyzer test. The officer says Bray's blood alcohol content was .258, which is more than three times the legal limit.

Bray is an employee of Chautauqua Airlines which operates Delta Connection flight 6095 from Lexington to Detroit.

She was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center. While in booking, officers found prescription narcotics throughout Bray's property that were not in the original container.

At Wednesday's hearing her attorney entered a not guilty plea on her behalf.
