LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police are trying to track down a gunman who they say held up a motel.
The man is accused of holding up the Ramada Inn on North Broadway at gunpoint around 6 a.m. Friday, and then taking off.
Officers searched for the man for several hours, but say he's still on the loose.
A perimeter was set up around several blocks on the north side of Lexington, where police believe the suspect in the robbery of the Ramada Inn just north of I-75 fled.
Police received calls from drivers on the interstate that a man was seen
running across the lanes toward the Marlboro & Radcliffe area.
This robbery comes just days after a guest at Days Inn on North Broadway was robbed.
This is the same area of town where police have responded to at least eight robberies in the past week.
