Police: man may be behind two bank robberies in one day

Robbers wearing the same hat, having almost identical features.

"A male white subject in his early 40s wearing a jacket that had a Nautica insignia on it and a Nike hat. He had wire rim glasses. He had gray hair about collar length in the back," said Lt. Scott Blakely with Lexington Police.

The robbers are so similar, Lexington and Richmond police are working together to determine if it's the same man. He first hit the Fifth Third Bank on Pleasant Ridge Drive in Lexington around 4 p.m. Thursday. And right before 5 p.m., this man shows up at the Chase Bank on the Eastern Bypass in Richmond.

"He implied he had a weapon and we believe that he was probably intoxicated," said Lt. Scott Blakely.

Richmond police believe the man that robbed Chase Bank left in a black SUV, possibly a Toyota Highlander.
