Police in two central Kentucky counties are investigating three robberies at gas stations all in the same area since Sunday.
The latest happened at the Circle K on Harrodsburg Road in Jessamine County just before 6 a.m. Monday. According to sheriff's deputies, a man wearing a gray mask used a gun to get cash from the clerk. He was last seen running toward the Kroger.
Around 3 a.m., Lexington Police responded to the Shell station at Palomar Centre, off Harrodsburg Road. Officers say a man wearing gray fabric, or a scarf over his face, implied a weapon. After getting cash, he ran behind the building, where police think he drove off in a car.
Police say the Shell robber fits the description of a man who robbed the Speedway in Beaumont Centre, also off Harrodsburg Road, around 3 a.m. Sunday. In that case, the robber showed a gun to the clerk.
So far, there have been no arrests.
