While most are in the spirit of giving this holiday season, some are taking.
Police are investigating two similar robberies
The first, around 4:13 this morning, was the Shell station at Russell Cave and New Circle.

"At four thirty a.m. a second call was received here at the Shell station on North Broadway, for a similar occurrence, a robbery," said Lt. J.J. Lombardi with Lexington Police.

Police say she was described as a black woman and had the same M-O, using a baseball bat, and just changing jackets from robbery to robbery.

"This was a crime of opportunity by the same individual."

Police are also looking into another set of robberies they say are likely related.
The latest was at Hook Novelty Friday night close to 10.
The first was at the Pizza Hut near UK's campus on Thursday, both were at knife-point.
Both businesses described him as a black man, wearing similar clothing, wielding the same large knife.

Police do say he was seen leaving Hook Novelty in a gray Hyundai Sonata with a Kentucky plate reading 082 LDP, which was reported stolen on Thursday.

"We highly suspect it was the same individual."

Lombardi tells us no one was injured in either sets of robberies.
He says if the two thieves keep it up, it will make it easier for the police to catch them.

Police say they are reviewing video surveillance from Hook Novelties, but have not made arrests in either case.
