Police link armed robberies across Central Kentucky

Lexington police are working with Georgetown and Versailles Police to catch the man they say is responsible for half a dozen armed robberies in the last two weeks. Lexington police say he robbed Marco's Pizza on North Locust Hill last week, Super Cuts on East New Circle this past Tuesday, and the Subway on E. Main Street Wednesday night. Versailles Police believe he's behind last week's Papa John's robbery. And Georgetown police say he's the one that robbed a Subway last week and Great Clips the same day as the Versailles Papa John's. In all of those crimes store managers told police he pulled out a gun and demanded cash from the register. He's seen in surveillance video wearing a skeleton mask and dark clothing. Store managers we spoke with described the man as thin, around six feet tall wearing black sweat pants and a dark hooded sweatshirt.

"What we're saying is an individual who does go in, not necessarily so methodical in gathering all up the employees, and then just commits the robbery," says Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts.
