Police release sketch of man wanted for sexual assault

The Lexington Division of Police is working to identify and locate the suspect believed to be connected to a sexual assault.

On Thursday a woman told police a man knocked on her door, just before 4:00am, at her apartment on Meade Court, near the intersection of Eastland Parkway. She says the man asked to use the phone. When she opened the door, she says the man forced his way inside, implying he had a gun, and sexually assaulted her.

She described the man as white, in his early 20’s, 5’10”, 160lbs, wearing a red jacket with a hood and blue jeans. Police released an artist sketch of the man Friday afternoon.
