A young man says an armed robber forced him to drive several blocks to find cash early Thursday.

The victim says he gave the man a ride at the Shell station on South Limestone in Lexington.

Once inside the car, the man pulled a gun on the driver and demanded cash.

The driver was only able to give the robber a small amount of cash, according to police.

That is when the robber forced the driver to go to an ATM at the UK Federal Credit Union on Export Street, off Virginia Avenue.

The victim says his card wouldn't work in the ATM.

The robber then got out of the car and ran away.

Police haven't made any arrests.
