Police say bank robber may have hit before

Lexington Police are trying to identify the suspect who robbed a bank Monday afternoon.

Investigators say the robber came into the Central Bank on Versailles Road at 12:30 p.m., demanded cash from a teller then ran away.

The suspect is described as a black man, with a light goatee. He was last seen wearing a red Polo style shirt with thin white stripes, khaki pants and a blue ball cap with a red bill. The ball cap had a St. Louis Cardinal emblem on the front.

Investigators say the robber has similar features to the man who held up the PNC Bank branch on Woodhill Drive May 25th.

If you recognize the suspect, you can call Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at (859) 253-2020.
