Police will be setting up a check point on a Lexington road, as part of an ongoing effort to crack down on impaired drivers.
Lexington Police will be operating the check point on Red Mile Road between 10 Friday night and 4 Saturday morning.
"All too often, innocent, law-abiding people suffer tragic consequences and the loss of loved ones due to this careless disregard for human life. Officers will be intensifying enforcement during the crackdown. We'll be especially vigilant during high-risk nighttime hours when impaired drivers are most likely to be on our roads," said Lexington Police Officer Alvin Cook in a news release.
Lexington Police say they will be aggressively looking for all impaired drivers during the check point hours, and will arrest all violators.
"Our message is simple and unwavering. If we find you driving impaired, we will arrest you. No exceptions," said Cook in the news release.
