A meeting scheduled for Monday night could determine whether Lexington's mail sorting could move elsewhere.
The postal service believes the plan could save more than $9 million.
Mail from central and eastern Kentucky would be sorted in Louisville and Knoxville instead.
The public meeting is scheduled from 7p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday at the Norsworthy Auditorium at the Fayette County Central Office on East Main Street.
