Road work planned for all of New Circle

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Department of Highways, announces that lane re-striping will be in effect this week for portions of New Circle Road in Lexington. Central Seal, Inc. is responsible for completing the work.

Work will be performed:

• Monday, July 2 – 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday (July 3) morning
• Tuesday, July 3 – 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday (July 4) morning

Restriping is scheduled for the following sections:

• Nicholasville Road (MP 0.0) to Newtown Pike (MP 9.5)
• Woodhill Drive (MP 14.5) to Nicholasville Road (MP 19.3)

This will be a mobile operation with all lanes remaining open at all times. Re-striping will take place on both the inner and outer loops. Appropriate signage will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public.

All scheduled work is subject to change depending on weather, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the work area.
