For the second time on Monday, Lexington police were called out to a report of shots fired that put people in danger.
This one happened around 10 p.m. on Florence Avenue, off Price Road.
Police say two groups of people started shooting at each other.
Police say as far as they know, no one was hurt in the gunfire.
However, a car and a truck parked along Florence Avenue were hit by bullets.
Police are still looking for the people who fired shots.
They say one group of shooters left the scene in a tan Toyota passenger car with Louisiana plates.
We're told the other group left in a white Escalade.
Police say there's nothing to indicate this case is related to another shots fired case on Whitney Avenue earlier on Monday.
Some people that live on Florence Avenue say that they're fed up with the shootings and that they just want to be left alone.
"Just let 'em, you know go on somewhere else. I'm just tired of it," says John Dawson, a resident on Florence Avenue.
"You couldn't even get through here, that's how bad it was. So many young people out here, cussing and carrying on. It's just awful," says Sylvania Bell, a resident on Florence Avenue.
So far police have not received any reports of injuries connected to these shootings. But some are finding their vehicles defaced with bullet holes.
A white SUV with a Georgia license plate showed up in a driveway on Florence Avenue this morning with at least five different bullet holes in it. Police do not believe it is the suspects vehicle.
Neighbors like Dawson say regardless of who it belongs to, those shots were fired too close to home, "Cause to me. Bullets don't have no eyes."
Police continue to search for answers, while neighbors Bell try to understand why shooting are happening in her neighborhood, "But why they want to mess with West End? You, know. It's a lot of older people that live out here. And where as myself. We don't bother nobody."
