Police have made an arrest for a robbery at a Lexington pharmacy that ended with shots being fired.
Lexington Police announced the arrest around 5 Wednesday afternoon. They did not release the suspect's name.
The robbery happened around 10:10 Wednesday morning at the Corner Pharmacy in Lexington. That's located on Alexandria Drive.
A man came in the store and pulled a knife on a clerk. The clerk then pulled out a gun. Shots were fired, but at this point police don't think anyone was hit.
The would-be robber left the store empty-handed. Police think he used a Red Monte Carlo SS to make his getaway.
This same pharmacy was robbed exactly two weeks ago. In that case, a man armed with knife walked in and demanded pills from the clerk. The clerk says he apologized for the crime.
