Spreading Free Smiles Across KENTUCKY
Dr. Damon G. Pleasant will host Dentistry From The Heart – providing people with free
Dental care on Saturday, September 22,2012
Lexington, Kentucky – Saturday, September 22, 2012 - Dr. Damon G. Pleasant will host the second annual
Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) event - providing a free day of dental care to more than 200 residents.
The line will begin as early as the night before, with dozens prepared to camp out in order to receive
free services. Dentistry From The Heart patients travel from across Kentucky every year to Dr. Pleasant’s
Lexington Dental Center dental practice for the annual free day of dentistry, happening on Saturday,
September 22, 2012.
In 2001, Dentistry From The Heart started with New Port Richey dentist Dr. Vincent Monticciolo as a
way to give back to the community and provide aid to the growing number of Americans without dental
insurance. Since its inception, Dentistry From The Heart has grown to include over 200 annual events
nationwide and provided more than 45,000 people with free dental care services.
Dr. Pleasant and his team of dentists, volunteers and sponsors provide patients with a free extraction,
filling, or cleaning. This is the second annual event for Dr. Pleasant, which will donate at least $175,000 in free
dental care to more than 200 Lexington and central Kentucky residents.
“It all comes down to wanting to provide something greater to my community,” said Dr. Pleasant.
“The services provided by Dentistry From The Heart help more than just patient’s teeth; it gives them a
renewed reason to smile.”
The media is invited to join the dozens of Doctors, Hygienists, volunteers, patients and Dr. Pleasant on Saturday,
September 22, 2012, to spread free smiles across Lexington and central Kentucky through Dentistry From
The Heart. The event will take place at Lexington Dental Center, 3138 Custer Drive. For more information
