Susan G. Komen presents Couture for the Cure

Susan G. Komen Lexington Affiliate presents Couture for the Cure; a night of fashion filled with live entertainment, silent actions, a fabulous fashion show, door prizes, food and drinks a long with much, much more. Up to 75 percent of the proceeds raised will stay in the Central Kentucky area to fund local screening, treatment and education programs for breast cancer focusing on the medically underserved. Without the cures, an estimated 25 million women around the world will be diagnosed with breast cancer-and 10 million could die over the next 25 years.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, the global leader of the breast cancer movement, has invested more than $1.9 billion since inception in 1982. As the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, we’re working together to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures. Thanks to events like the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® and the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure®, and generous contributions from our partners, sponsors and fellow supporters, we have become the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.

“Many local businesses are coming together to help make this event possible. Fusioncorp Design has yet again surpassed our expectations for a marketing design and Seasons Salon & Spa along with Images Modeling Agency are providing the models, hair and makeup,” states executive director, Jennifer Bricking. “It always seems to amaze me the generous support that the community shows to help our efforts and see that there are more survivors while we are working hard to find the cure.”

No matter what level of participation you can do, it is all important and helps the overall big picture. We have opportunities available ranging from Presenting Sponsor to a donation for our silent auction. Even if you cannot sponsor in some way we encourage you to attend the evening of events you won’t want to miss. Tickets are available online at www.komenlexington.org or at the Komen Lexington office, located at 1795 Alysheba Way, Suite 3104, Lexington, KY 40509.
