LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)- A suspected burglar ended up in the hospital after a victim fought back.
Someone called to report a burglary at a home on Race Street just after three Tuesday morning.
Lexington Police tell WKYT that a man broke into his girlfriend's apartment. Once inside, police say the suspect assaulted another man inside the apartment. According to police, the victim then stabbed the suspect with a pocket knife in self defense.
Police say that after the suspect is treated at UK Hospital, he will then be taken to the Fayette County Detention Center and charged with assault.
