The Living Arts & Science Center announces premiere winter event

Nightfall ---- the mysterious time when the sun has just set, the colors of the sky are fading, and the new light of the moon and stars emerge. The Living Arts & Science Center’s 24th annual HArtful of Fun is pleased to present this celestial evening that will include music, art, food, fine spirits, unique and artful auctions and some absolutely stellar performances and star shows!
Nightfall will provide a more intimate experience, with only Lexington’s finest restaurants, bakers, caterers, and artists participating. Enjoy sumptuous savory dishes by Season’s Catering, Louisiana Passion, and Dupree Catering, among others, as well as delightfully decadent desserts by Martine's, Tinker’s Cakes, the Midway School Bakery and Crank and Boom.
Of course the finest of local spirits will also be on hand with tastings by Four Roses Bourbon, Country Boy Brewing, West Sixth Brewing, Wine Select of Kentucky, and Louisville’s Old 502 Winery.

Lexington’s premiere winter event will showcase creative artistry in all the details as art will be auctioned, music will be made, and participants will enjoy an evening of fun entertainment. A variety of musicians, dancers, artists, and interactive surprises throughout the evening all ensure a lively, artful and elegant ambience.
H’Artful of Fun silent and live auctions are the largest and most unique in the area! This year’s auctions will feature week-long stays in vacation homes (Cape Coral, and Mrytle Beach), personally catered dinner parties, travel packages, sporting and event tickets, Keeneland boxes, and other unique and one-of-a-kind items! The incredible art auction will also feature over 75 original works of art from painters, jewelers, sculptors, photographers, and the work of other fine artists and craftspeople.

All proceeds from this event benefit the over 40,000 children and adults who are served by the Living Arts & Science Center each year through classes, workshops, exhibits, field trip programs, after-school programs, and outreach to social service agencies and community centers.

The Living Arts & Science Center is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that provides programs and services to over 40,000 Central Kentuckians each year. Creative and educational art and science exhibits, classes, workshops, and community events are presented year-round for children and adults of all ages by the Living Arts & Science Center (LASC). In addition, the Living Arts and Science Center partners with numerous community agencies, public schools and organizations to provide free hands-on arts activities at community events and programs and classes for special needs and at-risk students. A scholarship program provides over 300 students with free classes at the LASC.

A building addition will include a planetarium, an enlarged Discovery Exhibit, a children’s art gallery, more classrooms, a clay studio, a digital media lab, rooftop gardens, and an enlarged outdoor urban green space.
