The day that thousands of Wildcats were waiting for finally arrived.

"I'm happy. It's been good, but a long week. It was fun. I got to hang out with a lot of my friends. That we only get to see one time of year so this is the best time of year for me, " says Ash Meserve, a Wildcats fan.

"I'm just ready to go to bed to tell you the truth. I'll process everything the next morning," says another fan, Jacob Barnie.

While some have staked their claim in line for Big Blue Madness tickets for over a week, the tickets were passed out in just thirty-five minutes.

"Crazy. Lack of good sense. We've been coming for years. About twenty years," said UK fan, Betty and Jim Ryle.

UK fans say it's always worth the wait to have the chance to watch the basketball teams first practice inside of Rupp Arena.

Many have high expectations for the 2012-2013 team.

The tickets were free but fans were limited to four per person.

Several Wildcat fans tell WKYT that they have no plans on selling their tickets to Big Blue Madness off.

"No way. There's no price I'd put on these. I've worked hard for these. I want these tickets," adds Barnie.

Shortly after the tickets ran out, there were several on sale on Ebay. Some tickets are on sale for $150 a piece.

Big Blue Madness is Friday, October 12th.
