Two people are recovering after being shot in a Lexington parking lot, and police are calling it an accident.
Police say a 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old woman were playing with a gun inside their van in a parking lot beside Douglass Park when the gun went off. They say the 16-year-old was shot through the thigh and the 20-year-old was shot in the shin. Emergency crews rushed the pair to UK Hospital. It's not clear to police who was handling the gun when it went off.
Police don't yet know if they'll file any charges.
