They've donated to two towns devastated by tornadoes, now they plan to help a third. The group "Two Girls and a Van" has helped strangers in Tuscaloosa and Joplin, now they're collecting donations for tornado victims in Eastern Kentucky.
"We did it for the Tuscaloosa folks last year, and our plan was to collect for them and pack the minivan full of stuff and we actually ended up getting enough donations from the public to pack a 14-foot truck," explains Ashley Orberson, part of the group "Two Girls and a Van."
"As a mom, sometimes we tend to get caught up in taking care of our kids and think we can't make a difference. So it's important to us to make a difference in some body's life."
For the next week and half, Orberson will be collecting, organizing and packing supplies for families affected by the tornadoes.
"We're mainly collecting baby items, cleaning supplies, nonperishable foods, toiletries, everything new. We're not doing any used clothing or any used toys."
You can drop off donations between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. at 880 Corporate Drive on Friday, March 23rd.
