The season is over and the Wildcats are the 2012 National Champions. As students try to get back to their normal schedules there is one thing most can agree on; they are suffering for a basketball hangover!
"There is a still a hang over looming right now," explains UK student Shane Allen, "I went to sleep probably like six in the morning and I had to get up at 10 AM. It was extremely hard, I was falling asleep, falling all over the place, it was a disaster but it was worth it!"
Allen says he wasn't the only one either; for the handful of students who made it class on Tuesday, no one could keep their eyes open. "The normal class has about forty people and there was probably fifteen to twenty, so probably fifty percent of the population wasn't there."
Many students on campus wore their UK apparel as well to show their support. "We've always been a prideful school," explains UK student Amanda Newsome, "but it is on a whole new level now. Everywhere you look people are wearing blue and white, rocking their UK shirts, it's pretty awesome."
Students say they plan to wear blue and white for the rest of the week in honor of their champs.
