Victim shot in home invasion

Lexington Police are searching for three men who they say invaded a home early Friday then shot a man.

The victim says all three men had their faces covered when they broke into his apartment at Patchen Oaks Apartments on Chippen Dale Circle, near Richmond Road just before 5 a.m.

The robbers demanded cash from the victim. However, police don't believe they got away with anything from the apartment.

The victim was shot in the shoulder. Police say he's expected to be ok.

The suspects ran from the apartment, but police were not able to find them after searching the area.

Police say because the suspects were dressed in all black, and had their faces covered, they don't have very good descriptions to go on.

Warren Lowe says he's never felt unsafe at Patchen Oaks apartments, which made it even harder to believe that so much violence had happened so close.

"Saw the police cars, checked the news and saw someone had been shot. Crazy that it happened this close to home," said Lowe.
