LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) -
There is less than a week away until the Dancing with the Lexington Stars competition. WKYT weekend anchor, Brittany Pelletz will be competing against other members of the community and helping to raise money for local causes.
The event raises money for the non-profit organization, Surgery on Sunday Inc. and the Lexington Rotary Club Endowment Fund.
Participants of this year's event have been learning the Rhumba and the ChaCha thanks to the professionals at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Lexington.
Brittany is partnered up with Mario Kraszewski. Brittany says the most challenging part for her is learning to let Mario lead the dancing.
'"Your moves are not awkward. You hear the music. Now you just physically have to feel more comfortable with the stuff. Try to teach someone to anchor in three hours," says Kraszewski.
