Woman charged in pharmacy robberies

Police say they've caught a female robber who's been targeting pharmacies.

Elizabethtown Police arrested 37-year-old Anita Jaynes after a robbery there. Police believe she's the same woman caught on camera robbing stores in Georgetown and Lexington.

Police say they found evidence that links Jaynes to all three robberies.

"This is a significant event we've had. She was never going to stop. She robbed Lexington. She robs ours. Even after being interviewed by our detectives, she goes days later and does it again. She had no intention in quitting," said Lt. Robert Swanigan, with the Georgetown Police Department.

Georgetown Police say they found a prescription pill bottle that matches one taken from the Walgreens in a hotel room that Jaynes was staying at was in Georgetown.

Jaynes is being charged with 1st degree robbery.

Police say throughout her crime spree, Jaynes stole almost a thousand prescription pills.
