Rescuers worked diligently to free a young woman, who was trapped in her car, following a wreck.
Lexington firefighters cut open the roof of the car after the woman crashed into a tree on Richmond Road, near Shriner's Lane, early Friday.
They eventually got her to the hospital.
Her name hasn't been released.
Police say she suffered serious injuries.
Richmond Road quickly reopened.
